About Visiocue

Visiocue is a seed-funded startup focused on detecting and preventing human visual errors at airports, specifically at check-in areas. Our technology helps ensure luggage is not delayed, thereby preventing flight delays. We utilize edge-device solutions like smartphones and advanced computer vision models to enhance the travel experience. Supported by our investor and business partner, BEUMER Group, we benefit from their startup funding, expertise from over 5,000 employees, and access to a billion-euro portfolio of client airports.

About the role

We are seeking a talented Computer Vision Engineer to join our dynamic team of machine learning engineers. As a startup company, we don’t focus on specific tasks, but rather join efforts on exploring different approaches and crafting our machine learning pipelines, so that we achieve meaningful and measurable results that we can quickly put into production. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding product functionality and the value it delivers to users.
  • Utilising existing tools and models for automated data annotation.
  • Experimenting with different techniques for object, pattern, and anomaly detection in images.
  • Deploying models behind APIs and on smartphones.
  • Testing and comparing the performance of various models.
  • Working preferably two days a week at our Berlin office, but full remote work is also an option.

About you

We believe that a great candidate for this role should possess:

  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer specialising in computer vision or machine learning.
  • Expertise in architecting and deploying AI/ML pipelines.
  • A passion for technology and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • A desire to see your work quickly implemented and used by real customers.
  • An enjoyment for problem-solving and a collaborative mindset.
  • The ability to jump into new use cases and think creatively.
  • Comfort in speaking up, exchanging feedback, and sharing ideas openly.
  • A clear path for personal development in machine learning and computer vision.
  • Experience with Linux systems.
